We were hoping for a cold beach holiday vacation and that’s exactly what we got.!! This beautiful home had an incredible view, perfect beach access, and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The kitchen was fully stocked (even had a zester and hand mixer, which made us smile!), making it easy to cook and feel at home. Our hosts went above and beyond, sharing wonderful tips for things to do, places to go during the week, and put up a Christmas tree to make the house festive.
This place was absolutely perfect for our needs and we would love to come back again next year!

Everything we could have hoped for to make our stay at the beach enjoyable. So nice to walk out every morning and put our feet in the sand. Beds were comfortable and house was great but the location was pristine. Also having the fishing pier right next door was a home run with the kids.

We had an amazing experience at the Blue Horizon property in Oak Island. From start to finish, communication with the host, Chris, was prompt, clear, and extremely helpful. He made everything smooth and stress-free.
The home was exactly as advertised, and everything we needed was already provided for us. It was clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and perfect for a relaxing getaway.
We would highly recommend Blue Horizon to anyone looking for a great stay in Oak Island, and we look forward to returning again in the future!

We went for girls weekend and fell in love with Chris’s place. Chris was messaging beforehand. Offering early check in once place was ready, late check out since there was no check in on the day we were leaving, messaged us with little tips on local restaurants and ice cream shop and just to check in with us. The place was very clean, beds were great, enough space for everyone, great location.
I have never visited a place I have felt so welcome and at home. Thank you. We will be back.

Chris is a great host. I started contacting him about a month before our trip because another Airbnb in a different state we were at had advertised “no smoking” but come to find out when we got there it really was an ex smoker hang out. Chris was very forthcoming and got right back to me even that early out. This house fit eight adults and two toddlers in for a few days very well.
We didn’t do much cooking, but the kitchen was well stocked. Most of the stuff looks brand new or very close to it. If we ever come back to Oak Island, we’ll definitely try to book this house again!
There’s a terrific restaurant next door called the Island Way. We ate there twice and loved it both times. Make sure you make reservations.

My family had an AMAZING trip. We were already talking about when we could come back before this trip was even over. The views were amazing and the house was beautiful. It was super clean and welcoming. Chris was a great host, he always replied quickly and answered all my questions and then some. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I have zero complaints, it was one of our best experiences on Airbnb. I would definitely book with Chris again.

What a fantastic stay! The house is beautiful, the location is perfect, and the pool is a wonderful bonus. The home had everything we needed for a perfect beach weekend. The host was also incredibly responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

What an incredible gem on Oak Island! Our family had an incredible vacation and enjoyed hanging together at the house, going to the beach, cooking, and spending quality time together. Our 1st trip to Oak Island to celebrate our 40th annual family vacation was fantastic! We’ve stayed a lot of places, but the views, small town coastal feel, and Chris’s always responsive communication was top notch. He even left us personal goodies for the kids to enjoy in the pool and cupcakes and birthday decor to celebrate while we were there! Highly recommend!
